𝐏𝐀𝐋𝐔- The declaration of Central Sulawesi as the Land of a Thousand Megaliths was carried out in the Palindo Site Area, Sepe, Kolori Village, West Lore District, Bada Valley, Poso Regency, by the Governor of Central Sulawesi, H. Rusdy Mastura, on October 10 2023 last week, quoted from Diskominfo Santik as Public Relations of Central Sulawesi (Central Sulawesi) Monday (16/10-23).
A big idea that has been dreamed of for a long time has come true. That these megalith objects are strong evidence of past civilizations in the Tampo Lore Valley, in Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi.
This momentum is a strategic and tactical step taken by Governor Rusdy Mastura to elevate the megaliths to the national and world stage, that Central Sulawesi is a center of civilization that is equivalent to the age of civilization of the previous prophets, namely the prophet Musa AS, approximately 3000-5000 years before Christ ( BC).
Apart from the results of physical research and genealogical tests, several facts were found, including the suitability of the stone types of artifacts in the three Tampo Lore valleys with those in several countries such as Laos, India and Easter Island.
This fact is an assumption that shows that there was a social movement of ancestors originating from the Tampo Lore Valley that spread to several places and then developed until today, as shown in the distribution map of research results kept by Central Sulawesi Archaeologist, Iksam Djorimi.
The narrative of a Thousand Megaliths not only builds enthusiasm, but more than that, as a result of data collection carried out by the Central Sulawesi Cultural Heritage Center, there are 2,400 archaeological remains spread across 118 sites spread across three Tampo Lore valleys, Poso Regency and Kulawi Valley, Lindu Valley, Regency. Sigi.
In fact, there are still finds of megalith remains around the Palindo site which have not been recorded. The rest may still be there and scattered around the forest area and buried in the ground. Because it takes time to carry out excavations.
